Covid-19 Update Information

For immediate release: Lake Geneva - June 9th, 2020 The loss of many major events due to COVID -19 in both Lake Geneva and Walworth County have had a profound financial effect on both business and municipalities in our area. Lake Geneva Jaycee’s Venetian Festival also represents one of the largest fundraisers for many local not-for-profit organizations and some groups depend on it. We are planning on being able to have the 58th annual Venetian Festival, August 19th- 23rd, in its entirety. “Safety for our community, our vendors, and our members are top priority in this COVID-19 era. As we actively monitor the situation, as well as, federal, state, and local guidelines, the Lake Geneva Jaycees are preparing to take all reasonable precautions to ensure that Venetian Festival can be enjoyed by everyone” stated Nate Love, President of the Lake Geneva Jaycees. The bands are booked, the fireworks are ready, the beer is cold, and the rides are the best they have ever been. Any changes to the status of the Venetian Festival will be posted on the Lake Geneva Jaycees’ and Venetian Festival’s websites and social media accounts.

Venetian Festival History

Venetian Festival is Hosted by the Lake Geneva Jaycees!

2020 celebrates the 58th anniversary of the Lake Geneva Jaycees Venetian Festival. The five-day Festival runs from August 19th-23rd 2020 and takes place at Flat Iron, Library, & Seminary Parks in picturesque downtown Lake Geneva. Venetian Festival features a weekend of great family entertainment including a Craft Fair, Carnival, Water ski show, local cuisine including a brat stand and beer tent. This is all capped off on Sunday with a traditional Venetian Style lighted boat parade followed by the area’s largest fireworks display high above Geneva Lake.

The Lake Geneva Jaycees Annual Venetian Festival was founded in 1962. For over a half century, Venetian Festival has been the banner event for the Lake Geneva Jaycees Chapter. It represents the largest revenue generator for the club. The net profits go back into the local community. As Venetian Festival has grown over the years, so have the donations from the Jaycees. Some of the organizations that continue to benefit from the proceeds are:

The Lake Geneva Police Dept., The Lake Geneva Fire Dept., Geneva Lakes YMCA, Badger High School Scholarships, Cub Scouts, United Way, and Big Brother's Big Sisters, Beat the Heat, VIP Services, Special Olympics Dream Team, Adult Special Olympics, WC Food Pantry, Lake Geneva Food Pantry, SMILES, Geneva Lake Water Safety Patrol, Habitat For Humanity.
